Shirley Brosius wrote Sisterhood of Faith: 365 Life-Changing Stories About Women Who Made a Difference to encourage Christians to use their spiritual gifts. Each page offers a biographical sketch of an inspirational woman along with scripture, a message from her life and a response for the reader.

Shirley's publication credits also include Angels on Earth, Country Journal, Farm and Ranch Living, Living With Teenagers and Pennsylvania Magazine. Her Christian education articles have appeared in a variety of denominational publications, and she has written hundreds of feature stories for Harrisburg's Patriot-News. She is a member of Pennwriters and the Authors Guild.

A graduate of CLASSeminar, Shirley enjoys speaking at conferences, retreats and women's ministry events. She has memorized the book of Philippians and moves audiences through dramatic presentations of the book. She is also one of three women ministering at women's retreats as "Friends of the Heart." Shirley serves as chair of the Lykens Valley Women's Connection, part of Stonecroft Ministries.

Shirley served ten years as a director of Christian education. She and her husband Bill live in Millersburg, Pennsylvania. They have two married sons and five grandchildren. Their only daughter died at birth.

What people are saying:

The fruits of Shirley’s spiritual life are measurable by what the Lord has equipped her to accomplish. She is an excellent Christian Educator with the gift to inspire others to teach.

Her own education includes a Masters of Christian Education from Evangelical Theological Seminary, which recently honored her with the Alumnus of the Year award. Shirley is a published author including a daily devotional guide that inspires us by telling the stories of women whom God has moved through to touch others live. She has also memorized and dramatically portrays the letter to the Philippians. By a simple internet search, you could find out all of these accomplishments and more.

As her pastor, I want you to know that Shirley has a genuine and deep love for the Lord. It is an every day love that is evident in her service to Him through her church and her community and through her gentle strength.

We are truly blessed to have Shirley as part of our church family and are excited that the blessings that she has brought to us might be shared with you.
